Alexander Aitken

‘Location and context is an overwhelming condition, it’s unpicking can be curious.’ Alexander Aitken is a ceramic sculptor and draftsperson from Kent living and working in London. He is currently the RCA’s Griffin Scholar, studying Ceramic and Glass Ma and graduated with first honours from Camberwell College of Arts Sculpture Ba in 2018. His practice is broadly concerned with the lost or unnoticed narratives we encounter in our environmen and society, creating work that aims to create eccentric nodes in a pursuit to encourage an audience question and heighten awareness toward the unnoticed and fundamental of their local situation.
