Submission Terms & Conditions
These terms apply when you submit artwork to an open call run by Galleria Objets ("we", "us", "our"), a contemporary art gallery at 92 Brick Lane, London E1 6RL. By ticking the acceptance box on the submission form, you agree to the following.
Authorship & Rights
You confirm that you are the author of the works you submit, or are otherwise authorised to submit them, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's rights. You retain full copyright and ownership of your work and your images at all times. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of your work or your copyright to us.
Review Fee
A non-refundable review fee of £12 applies to each application. The fee covers curatorial review of your submission and is charged regardless of the outcome.
Display on Our Website
By submitting, you grant us permission to display your submitted work and its images on our website and curator platform for up to three (3) months from the date of submission. We are not obliged to display your work, and may choose to feature it or not at our discretion within that period.
Promotional Use
You grant us permission to use images of your submitted work to promote the gallery and its programme — for example on our website, in newsletters, and on our social media channels. Wherever reasonably practical, we will credit you as the artist. This permission is non-exclusive: you remain free to use and license your own work however you wish.
Platform Membership
When you submit, an account is created for you and you become a member of the Galleria Objets platform. Membership lets you track your submissions and manage your work in your studio.
- Membership is free and carries no ongoing obligation.
- You may cancel your membership and withdraw your work at any time by emailing us at the address below.
- On cancellation, we will remove your work from public display on our website and stop using your images for new promotional material. (The review fee already paid is non-refundable, and material already printed or published may take time to be withdrawn.)
How Your Work Is Analysed
To organise and search submissions, your images are processed by automated systems, including a third-party AI service used purely to read each image and generate descriptive tags (such as medium, style, subject and colour) and a similarity index. This is used solely for curation and search within our own platform.
- Your work is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model.
- Your work and its images are never sold, licensed, or shared with third parties for their own purposes.
- The automated analysis runs once at submission to index your work; it does not feed any recommendation algorithm beyond helping our curators find and compare submissions.
Selection
Submission does not guarantee selection. All submissions are reviewed by our curatorial team, and selection decisions are made at our sole discretion. We will notify you of the outcome regardless of whether your work is selected.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent change. The terms in force at the time of your submission are the ones that apply to that submission.
