Benedetta is a ceramic artist and designer based in Hackney, London, working under the name SWEI, a creative practice centred on handmade lighting, ceramic objects and wall-hanging compositions. Originally trained as an urban designer, her work has evolved towards creating intimate, tactile objects that encourage a slower way of living. Working with hand-built ceramics, natural textiles, beeswax and expressive glazes, her practice explores the relationship between light, material and memory, celebrating the beauty of traditional craft and the meditative process of making.
