Hyein Lee (b. 1999, South Korea) is a London-based multidisciplinary artist who explores the hidden, socially obscured histories of the body. Graduating with an MA in Fashion from the Royal College of Art, Lee paradoxically defines her practice not as dressing others, but as undressing them. Through a distinct blend of photography, performance, and installation, she strips away the rigid cultural norms and systems of control imposed upon the flesh. Positioned at the sharp boundary between censorship and revelation, her work juxtaposes the social concealment of intimate bodies with speculative narratives to uncover raw vulnerability, agency, and authentic lived experience. Her work has been showcased at the London Design Festival (2025).
