Remi Vanden Bossche

Remi Vanden Bossche is a self-taught painter based in South London who was raised in Reading. Working primarily in oil paint, his practice centres on portraiture and figurative painting. He studied Illustration at the University of Hertfordshire, where he developed the technical and compositional foundations that continue to inform his work. Vanden Bossche uses the human figure to explore themes of identity, examining mental and emotional wellbeing, masculinity, and nostalgia.
