Sophie Klampferer is a London-based filmmaker and artist whose practice inhabits the liminal terrain where documentary is constructed and dismantled through fiction. Shaped by a clusterfuck of an identity—Austrian father, Slavic mother raised on Central Asian soil, and a childhood in the Middle East—she explores how we build and defend our own truths through the stories we tell and the people we collide with, through themes of fragmented truth, power and patterns of being. Klampferer received her BA in English and Film Studies from King's College London in 2024 before completing her MFA in Screen at Central Saint Martins in 2026.
